Title: Sologamy- Save the Date!

My thesis is about Sologamy, which is about marrying myself, and the celebration for my current and future single-hood. I wanted to create a celebrative moment for single as well as for myself by putting into the context of "planning for my Sologamy wedding". Inspired by my indoor cycling experience and how I felt it being the metaphoric representation of my current and future single life, my thesis lies upon merging these two cultures: cycling and the wedding to create new wedding scene.

Dahyun is from Seoul, South Korea and her design philosophy is to take inspiration from the widely known social and cultural elements and combine, disassemble to create her original concept. She takes humor and parody as one of the crucial elements in her design to make a socially impactful message. She is currently working as assistant designer at MOOHONG, fashion brand based in Paris, while preparing for her own label.
