Title: Restart

Our known landscapes have become ones where the remnants of consumption intersect with nature. In seeing the wasted become waste, I delve into looking for processes to restart the life cycles of materials so that they can exist again beyond waste. This collection is aimed to integrate our surroundings with relaxed silhouettes in order to create sensations of comfort and belonging. As the process of living and moving through different points of our daily routine brings liveliness to both our environments and to the clothing of which we are wearing. My collection looks into the reiteration of our overlooked excess that ends up in our surroundings, back into our surroundings through clothing. In turn my garments are made from a foundation of second life materials that breathe deeper meaning and reflection into our consumption, while my process of production breathes life back into discarded materials.

Having always been intrigued by clothing and its relationship with personal and social connectivity. I design with a focus to create an experience before all else without overlooking the involvement of our communities and environments. Very much of what I do revolves around anthropocentric design in order to express critical reflection of our society. I aim to create fashion with a backbone, something beautifully hand crafted that lives and breathes sustainability and craftsmanship through its exterior and each step of the process.
