by REVEAL is an alternative retail company allowing brands to launch physical environments that collect the data and geographic reach of ecommerce. Their mobile brand experiences (REVEALs) can setup quickly anywhere for a day or a month, and can appear wherever people are: galleries, sidewalks, parks, events, and shopping destinations. Parsons partnered with by REVEAL in 2017 to promote designs from recent graduates in the AAS Fashion Design program. Throughout the day, the mobile boutique garnered much interest and provided brand exposure for the newly launched collections of the AAS Fashion Design students.

Name: Jaeyeon Choi (Jane)   Country of origin: South Korea   Internship: SMCP the parent organization to Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot SMCP is a Leading global apparel and accessories brand in operation since 1984. End of Year exhibition

At the end of each academic year, the School of Fashion’s BFA Fashion Design & AAS Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing graduates take over the New School University Center to exhibit their final work. The BFA floors are organized thematically by final collection and thesis; and the AAS Design & Marketing floor showcases exemplary work across final semester classes. This year’s Opening Night highlights included a live photoshoot where students brought their final looks; a dance performance; HUGO BOSS, AARP, Solstiss, YOOXYGEN, Bandier, and H&M prizes. Simon Doonan

Simon Doonan, famous fashion personality, spoke to students and faculty on the AAS Fashion Marketing program and across The New School. Simon gained notoriety as a window designer at Barneys where his sense of humor and brazen creative direction drew masses of visitors to Barneys’ original downtown location. His visual presentation guided students through his career of windows, and they asked thoughtful questions related to marketing their personal brands.
