ISKO Marketing Award

AAS Fashion Marketing students Gina Paljusevic, Jane Choi and Sunmin Park were awarded with the 2018 ISKOOL Marketing prize in Milan. Developed by ISKO, the world’s leading ingredient brand in quality denim manufacturing committed to developing an integrated field-to-fabric approach in every step of the value chain, the ISKOOL prize is an international award for students of fashion marketing and design. Norell X Parsons X Neiman Marcus

Parsons School of Design, in partnership with Norell fragrances and Neiman Marcus, revealed the winner of the Norman Norell couture design award. The student winner, Anthony Galante, was presented a $5,000 grant from Norell and his work was included as a special order in the 2017 Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. The “Norell x Parsons” external projects spring 2017 course, was created through a partnership with Parlux Ltd. and Neiman Marcus.

UN_MADE

Parsons AAS Fashion Design students were challenged to explore the act of unmaking as a path to understand alternate approaches of how garments are made. #UN_MADE is a project that considers the current dilemma of waste created by the fashion system and how redesigning existing apparel can lead to prolonging a garment’s lifecycle. This exhibit features, behind the scenes videos, work in progress, final designs, and editorial images, which document creative methods applied to design by reutilizing garments. Participating AAS Students included Julia McCann, Mia Jean Jaquet, Na Ren, Mengying Li.
