Call for Entries: Parsons Festival 2014 Exhibition
Making/Meaning
Meaning/Making
For the first time curated by students, the Parsons Festival Exhibition showcases a selection of the creative and intellectual inquiries and passions of Parsons’ undergraduate and AAS students. The exhibition will focus on the relationship between making and meaning, and will be presented in the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center.
If you are one of the exceptional artists, designers, architects, photographers, filmmakers, technologists, scholars, strategists, design thinkers, and makers that make up Parsons and are interested in being considered for this exhibition, please submit an application. This year’s exhibition has an undergraduate focus and is open to students currently enrolled in Parsons’ BFA, BBA, BS, and AAS degree programs only.
Submission Deadline
March 5, 2014, at 11:00 pm
Application Process
To be considered, submit a project that is either finished or in development in a current class (one project per application), providing documentation and a description of the project. All applications must be submitted using the online form. For application guidelines and to submit a project for consideration, visit festival.parsons.edu.
Information Sessions
Information sessions about the exhibition are in the process of being scheduled. The sessions will provide an overview of the project submission and review process as well as guidelines for preparing an application. The sessions also provide an opportunity for student curators to meet students and learn more about the work being done across the undergraduate and associate’s degree programs at Parsons. Please look out for flyers around campus announcing information session details.
