Parsons School of Design students within the Strategic Design and Management BFA program presents Shirt Stories, a first up-cycle fashion lab pop up in collaboration with Housing Works.
By redesigning shirts that were given by Housing Works the goal of the pop up lab is to give a new (and fashionable) life to unwanted shirts and encourage up-cycling. Through hands-on fashion up-cycling workshops at the Fashion Lab we will be making a difference in our effort to minimize textile waste.
There will be a Shirt Stories showcase, which will display up-cycled shirts redesigned by Parsons faculty and students. Each shirt will be presented with a story of its dramatic or gut-bursting past, revealing the relationship between the shirt and its previous owner.
Shirts will be sold for $5. All proceeds benefit Housing Works
When: 5:30PM – 7:30PM
