Madeleine Provost, has won a coveted spot as one of the 2013 Windgate Fellows<\/a>.\u00a0 The Center for Craft, Creativity and Design hosted the selection panel this year.\u00a0 The selection process presents a rare opportunity to survey the best and brightest emerging makers in the field of craft. Windgate is honored to continue the important legacy of this program \u2013 one that gives 10 emerging artists both the validation and financial resources to pursue their dreams.<\/p>\n

Madeleine, a BFA Fashion Design Senior, talks about her work:<\/p>\n

“My craft is rooted in the art of clothing the body. I would use the Windgate Fellowship funds to enroll in a textile residency program to further explore artisanal handwork and couture techniques as they relate to sustainable design.”\u00a0 -Madeleine Provost<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
