Mark teaches Junior Concepts at Parsons New School for Design. He  feels that it is his job to help the students form their own opinions,  in order to come into their own sense of design. He pushes his students  to develop their inner-critic, in order to self-analyze their own work. As an adjunct faculty member and Parsons alumnus, Mark recently had his  bridal gown design land the cover of Weddings Unveiled Magazine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2583\" src=\"http:\/\/fashion.parsons.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/img001-791x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"791\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mark has been a wedding gown designer for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.priscillaofboston.com\/\">Priscilla of Boston<\/a> for the past 5 years. He was specifically appointed to create the Vineyard Collection, which is an affordable line of gorgeous bridal gowns. He designs about 16-18 gowns per season, with two seasons per year.\u00a0 Before Priscilla of Boston, Mark worked for Vera Wang, designing both Ready to Wear and Evening.<\/p>\n<p>For his bridal designs, he loves beading, embroidery and being inventive. The newest collection is focused on lean and soft silhouettes. He never wants his gowns to be too extravagant, because after all, the focus should be on the bride!\u00a0 Here\u2019s a look at Mark\u2019s current inspiration:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2584\" src=\"http:\/\/fashion.parsons.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/inspiration-300x183.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"405\" height=\"247\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The dress on the cover of Fall 2010\u2019s Weddings Unveiled: Inspiring Styles for Southern Weddings Magazine is a satin strapless gown with a smocked taffeta bolero jacket. Stunning!\u00a0 Any student interested in bridal should keep an eye out for Mark\u2019s classes.
