Fashion + Music + New York City= a genius new fashion blog formula. Look\/Hear<\/a> , created this past June\u00a0by Vogue Fashion Assistant, Sarah Slutsky,\u00a0is\u00a0a new spin on the fashion blog. Sarah provides her viewers with pro\ufb01les of fashionable strangers. But the extra treat? Hearing snippets of\u00a0music that her subjects were blasting from their headphones the moment they met her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

So how did her creation of this formula come about? \u201cI was sitting on the subway wondering\u00a0what music people were listening to in their headphones, then it dawned on me.\u201d Coming from a\u00a0musically inclined family she spotted a natural connection between the places we live, the clothes we\u00a0wear, and the music we listen to.\u00a0Aside from the pedestrians, the city\u02bcs streets are the main ingredients of her masterful concoction.<\/div>\n
\u201cNew York has such unique neighborhoods, each with their own character and sense of style.\u201d Her own\u00a0neighborhood is no exception. \u201cThe Lower East Side has in\ufb02uenced me to be grunge along with the\u00a0classic tweaks of French fashion I love; chic femme with more of a downtown feel.\u201d<\/div>\n

When I asked her about music she didn\u02bct hesitate to \ufb01ll me in. \u201cIndie\u00a0Alternative; music typically off the beaten path.\u201d Her \u201call-time favorites\u201d are The Kills.
