Johnson Design Center, 2 West 13th Street<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Franklin Gothic Medium\">Conversation with the curators, David Buckland and Chris Wainwright:<\/span> Friday, September 30, 2011, 6:00 pm-7:00 pm<\/p>\n<p>U-n-f-o-l-d  is a traveling exhibition created by Cape Farewell, a UK-based  organization that offers cultural responses to climate change. The  exhibition includes the work of 25 artists who participated in Cape  Farewell&#8217;s expeditions in 2007 and 2008 to the Arctic and in 2009 to the  Andes. Each artist witnessed firsthand the dramatic effects of climate  change on the environment. In individual and collective works, the  artists explore the physical, emotional, and political dimensions of  climate change. Cape Farewell&#8217;s work reflects the idea that artists can  play a significant role in creating a cultural shift, challenging the  public to respond to the challenge of climate change and build a vision  for a sustainable future.
