Days of Death

Ahona Paul

Visual Artist
Ahona Paul is a multimedia artist working within the intersections of art and technology. The current theme in their life is sonder, and they use my art to explore the depths of human experience and create space for empathy. Paul's current work has a focus on multimedia installation pieces, with elements of their ink illustration and painting background seeping into the more digital, tech-advanced nature of the work.

Days of Death

“Days of Death” is an archive of memories; those of my grandmother’s house. Built and abandoned before my birth, this house held many memories and stories, told to me through my mother, aunts and all the matriarchs of my family. This piece explores the contrast between the unfinished, almost abandoned stage of this grand vision of a house, against the deteriorating nature surrounding the place. Peek in, and absorb yourself in the emptiness.
