Maple Maze

Maple Maze is a puzzle-adventure where players manipulate the map using a grid-swap mechanic to rearrange its layout. By shifting different map sections, players unlock new pathways, access hidden areas, and progress the story. Players play as a bear navigating shifting terrain, where the world itself changes based on your actions.

This project began with a question: how do you design a puzzle game that feels fresh—not just another remix of what already exists? I started with the kind of puzzle game I like to play. The core idea was to explore how map manipulation could become the heart of a puzzle system.

This isn’t just about solving puzzles—it’s about noticing patterns, adapting to change, and using memory as a strategy. The goal is to challenge players while keeping the experience approachable, something they can stick with and enjoy to the end.
