Idea me – From idea to actions.

2026

For many creative practitioners, the challenge is not a lack of ideas but an excess of them. When inspiration arrives faster than it can be processed, the result is not productivity but paralysis—too many possibilities, no clear starting point, and the quiet anxiety of knowing something valuable is slipping away. This thesis investigates why creative overflow leads to inaction rather than output, and proposes a mobile application designed to address that gap. Drawing on neuroscience research on the fragility of insight, psychological frameworks on procrastination as emotion regulation, and the design of existing tools—Apple Notes, Notion, and Tiimo—the project argues that the primary obstacle is not organizational but emotional. Existing tools are built for after the idea has arrived. This application is built for before—the moment the idea is still there, but only barely. The project was developed through user interviews, peer feedback sessions, and iterative lo-fi prototyping. Its core finding is that designing for emotional relief, not organizational efficiency, is the more urgent and more neglected challenge in creative tool design.
