Shuixin Wang is an MFA candidate in Design and Technology at Parsons, with a BFA from RISD. Her thesis builds a cross-cultural semantic search system for museum collections, using large language models to bridge the conceptual gaps between how different cultures describe and categorize art. Her broader research interest is in how AI tools should be designed when the user's expertise is the point, not the bottleneck. She is interested in founding an AI company after graduation.
Sercha is a semantic search engine for museum collections across seven global institutions. Search by concept, not just keyword, and discover connections across 14,000 artworks spanning cultures, centuries, and continents.
