Amy Zhang

MFA design & technology
Amy Zhang is a designer who works at the intersection of wellness, interactive media, and storytelling. She received her BAs in Psychology and in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design. Before transitioning into design, she conducted research on neurodegeneration at UCSF where she became interested in human-centered design and wellness experiences. With her background in neuropsychology, she explores design as a tool for connection and care, creating experiences that can support wellbeing and enrich lives.

Within Reach is a speculative interactive mural designed for elderly patients with limited lower-body mobility, where small, easy arm movements can produce open-ended visual responses.
