How To Get Ahead

In this game, players take on the role of a low-level investigator who, while on a mission, has their body stolen by the antagonist. As a result, players must frequently “borrow” the bodies of others to maintain their existence. The final goal is to reclaim our own body and identity.

“The ship of Theseus”, if you have never heard it before, It’s a philosophy thought experiment that questions one’s identity continuity with physical changes in the body. I was drawn by this moment of insight that this was the first time ever I realized that, as a human being, my physical body isn’t static. I mean, our cells and skin are constantly growing and being replaced. Then what makes us “us”.

I wish to share this memorable experience with players through the game. Also to create a playground with enough freedom as spaces for experimentation, curiosity, and transformation.
