The ELab had the pleasure to offer a workshop on tax compliance as part of its Workshop Series for its fellows. The workshop which was conducted by expert Philip Ambrosino CPA Certified Public Accountant covered general and specific grounds on the tax topic. Philip discussed all matters related to starting a business through the lens of taxation, what to look out for, and focused on pitfalls that startups face and might lead them to liability issues like sales taxes. Philip, fielded many questions from fellows on how and when to incorporate, the types of incorporation and their benefits, where to incorporate, how to set up partnerships and begin to pay employees.

The event took place on February 4th at CSI Center for Social Innovation, one of ELab’s coworking space partners on W 26th street in Manhattan.
