NYC Media Lab ’16
Columbia University is inviting faculty and students from NYC’s universities to demo at NYC Media Lab ’16, which will be hosted onThursday, September 22nd, from 8 am to 6 pm at Columbia University’s Alfred Lerner Hall.
This is NYC Media Lab’s major event of the year. On this day, community-executives from the media and technology industries, faculty and students, startups and investors, come together for discussion, demos and networking.
The plan is to host more than 100 demonstrations of digital media research and prototypes and award $25,000 in prizes. In addition, keynote speakers will include Jim Bankoff, Chairman and CEO of Vox Media and Emily Bell, Founding Director of the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia Journalism School. There will also be announcements about new seed projects and NYC Media Lab Combine, the Lab’s accelerator program for university startups.
Demo applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until September 8th, 2016.
