Meet Gabor Tankovics: 2016 ELab Fellow\u00a0&\u00a0Founder of Dartboard.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Gabor was accepted into ELab to develop his initial concept of Dartboard into a operational business, with the\u00a0goal of reimagining student loan management.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

Dartboard is a messaging-based service that intelligently automates and accelerates student loan payments, generating substantial savings for the 44 million US student loan holders. Earlier this spring, Gabor, Dartboard’s founder and CEO,\u00a0was\u00a0selected as the first representative from The New School\u00a0ever\u00a0into the National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer\u2019s (NCET2) University Startup\u00a0Conference & Demo Day. In April,\u00a0Gabor presented Dartboard as\u00a0one of the 40 “Best University Startups” in the Nation,\u00a0placing The New School in the national aggregate list of represented universities.<\/p>\n

How does Dartboard work?<\/strong> Student loan debt has reached $1.3trillion, with over 70% of today’s workforce graduating with student loans. In this urgent context,\u00a0Dartboard offers employers a SaaS solution to implement a simple and\u00a0cost-effective\u00a0student loan benefit as a hiring and retention tool.\u00a0Through a proprietary account aggregation tool, Dartboard syncs to your student loan bills, tracks your income and spending patterns and executes your loan payments accordingly. Dartboard was an ELab startup in 2016, during which time Gabor and his team\u00a0grew the initial concept of the company into an operating business.<\/p>\n

Since January alone, Dartboard has helped users\u00a0save over $40,000 in interest payments.\u00a0Currently, Gabor and his team\u00a0are launching pilots with employers to explore the B2B market and are\u00a0leveraging events like the\u00a0University Startup Conference & Demo Day for networking and investment opportunities.<\/p>\n
