Students from the MS Design and Urban Ecologies presented their work to faculty and friends of the program on Thursday, December 12th at Parsons Graduate Urban Programs&#8217; studio. The proposals included <em>Housing Hope: Working with Religious Institutions to put Underutilized Properties into Use for the Creation of Housing <\/em>which was\u00a0developed by Daniel Chu, Jason Brown and Emily Bowe<em>,<\/em> and <em>Redefining Collective Care\/Reclaiming Contested Space: A Cooperative Initiative to Create a Community Anchor through Affordable Housing in Sunset Park <\/em>which was developed by Amron Lee, Ana Prada Uribe, Daniela Castillo, and Ashley Lehrer. The proposals were presented to the community partners of this multi-year project, United Families of Sunset Park, on Friday, December 13th at the Center for Family Life&#8217;s community center in Sunset Park. The two proposals showcased potential partners and avenues to identify, program, and acquire abandoned and underutilized properties for the development of a limited-equity housing cooperative for United Families of Sunset Park&#8217;s members. Graduate students from Milano&#8217;s Community Development Finance Lab also presented their contribution to the project under the leadership of Prof. Kevin McQueen. Douglas Salathe, Andrew Stark, Dirk Van Stee, and Adam Schiabor shared alternative housing cooperative proposals involving small scale properties in scattered sites with potential financing models for
