The Architectural League Prize for Young Architects + Designers is an annual portfolio competition open to young architects and designers ten years or less out of an undergraduate or master’s degree program. As one of North America’s most prestigious awards, the program exemplifies the League’s longstanding commitment to identifying and nurturing the development of talented young architects and designers. Each year the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers partners with more than 100 visual arts and literary arts organizations across the country to bring the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards to local communities. Teens in grades 7–12 (ages 13 and up) submitted nearly 320,000 works of art and writing this year to the Scholastic Awards. A selection of student works from the Textiles MFA Program at Parsons will be displayed in our 5th Avenue- and 13th Street-facing windows while the buildings and galleries are closed to the public over the winter break and in preparation for the spring 2020 roster of exhibition.
