The New School presents an exhibition on the design and construction
\nof the Oyster Garden Flotilla, a fully functioning oyster garden
\nintended for use in New York City\u2019s waterways. The result of a
\ncollaboration between students at Parsons and Eugene Lang College The
\nNew School for Liberal Arts, the project merges art, sustainable
\ndesign, field science, and activism. The exhibition presents designs,
\nmodels, photographs, and scientific data documenting the yearlong
\nproject. The Oyster Garden Flotilla is both an artistic interpretation
\nof New York\u2019s rich estuary history and a sustainable means of purifying
\nwastewater.<\/p>\n
