Prompt: For Project 3 you will build on what you learned and discovered in Project 2 about sound, color and memory, to create a 2-minute video. The important ideas here are the notions of sound, color, imagination, frame and sequencing. You will explore recognition as the ear listens and as the eye moves from one still point to another to understand how the mind creates a continuous narrative that is perceived by the brain as a seamless whole. For this piece, you will look to an imagined future to envision all that you would like to see in the world. What type of world do you want to live in? You will create a fictional story that includes fictional memories. Place yourself in the year 2072, you will tell a story about a significant transformative occurrence that took place in the year 2022 that shifted everything for you – allowing for your imagined future to transpire. This would be an occurrence that affected you personally and which had global implications as well.
During the global pandemic of COVID-19, the world remained indoors for 2 full years until 2020, everything shifted during that time, a natural miracle of collision happened, everything is green. Plants and trees grew out of concrete, the clouds are iridescent and descended to our buildings with waterfalls flowing out of them, sea levels decreased, and the weather is stabilized. Mother Nature has agreed to our silence and we agreed to her majestic interference.
