There will be&nbsp;prizes awarded to the top three sketchbooks. A compilation video of all entries will be exhibited at Parsons.<br><br><strong>Important Dates:<\/strong><br><br><strong>February 23 &#8211; March 20:&nbsp;<\/strong>Students upload submissions<br><strong>March 30:&nbsp;<\/strong>Video exhibition opens, winners announced<br><strong>March 30 &#8211; May 15:&nbsp;<\/strong>Video on view, 2 West 13th Street, 5th-floor monitors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To enter:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your&nbsp;sketchbook&nbsp;does NOT need to be full<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your&nbsp;sketchbook&nbsp;can include personal explorations and classwork<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Film a video of you flipping through your&nbsp;sketchbook&nbsp;(smartphone videos are fine)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the default format (1080 pixels at 30 FPS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video should be 2 minutes or less<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video should be well lit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video MUST be in horizontal (landscape) format<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video should be steady (tripod filming is best)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose a clean, neutral background to film&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your name should appear on one of the pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Videos of well filmed sketchbooks can be found&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/newschool.us3.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=e5a77d19fcd8bbeed16ad89a8&amp;id=3cf8115395&amp;e=f511c00590\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">here<\/mark><\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upload your video&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/newschool.us3.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=e5a77d19fcd8bbeed16ad89a8&amp;id=39142c9b3a&amp;e=f511c00590\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">here<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;(Newschool.edu account required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-conforming or poor quality videos will not be included<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entries must be received by&nbsp;<strong>March 20th<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Drawing and Imaging is pleased to announce the First-Year&nbsp;Sketchbook competition!
