In response, Halpern created the project &#8220;to start a conversation about equality in our country. \u201cWe The People\u201d is the first three words of the Constitution, the document that sets our fundamental principles and how we are governed. Today, our country is the most divided in recent memory and will likely continue to be unless we come together and realize what we need to do to be one.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/parsons.edu\/undergrad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/12\/we-the-ppl-grid.png\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-8847 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/parsons.edu\/undergrad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/12\/we-the-ppl-grid.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"994\" height=\"1534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/parsons.edu\/undergrad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/12\/we-the-ppl-grid.png 994w, https:\/\/parsons.edu\/undergrad\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/12\/we-the-ppl-grid-768x1185.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 994px) 100vw, 994px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The project began with Halpern creating\u00a0t-shirts with the phrase &#8220;We The People&#8221;\u00a0(extracted from the beginning of the United States Constitution). The shirts were then distributed to people of all different\u00a0sexualities, genders, races.
