My partner’s fear was missing out on things because he\u2019s not able to be in two places at the same time. The most obvious piece of clothing that we use for transportation is shoes, they are essential to moving from one place to another. For that matter, a pair of special shoes can help you break this limitation of not being in two places at the same time. Thus came into place the idea of creating these wooden style flip-flops. My partner chose several Japanese artifacts from the MET. For that matter, I chose to stick to the theme and create my own western-version of the traditional getas. These wooden flip-flops give the user the ability to create a clone and be in two places at the same time. The motifs were inspired by the samurai helm my peer showed me and the flowers were inspired by the cherry blossom. The leftover pieces were then reused to decorate the sole of the shoe.<\/p>\n
