This work is a physical manifestation of my love for Indian culture, heritage and craftsmanship. It is a patchwork of the Indian prints, brocades, fabrics and embroideries which illustrates how as a girl child I would spend hours playing with dolls and dressing them and how that transcended into this desire of wanting to dress real people and become a fashion designer. This work also embodies the concept of women empowerment through the use of symbolic Indian jewellery which is reflected in the text as well. Whilst all the pages depict how a women is getting dressed and adorning herself with all the traits to be empowered, the poster side shows the modern women who is ready to run the world and is free from the shackles of society and men. My seminar memoir was about attending a fashion show by Sabyasachi, a famed Indian Designer, which celebrated the Indian heritage and craftsmanship. The show was a patchwork of Indian textiles, prints and embroideries and my one- minute book captures the essence of the fashion show through the patchwork and the illustrations.<\/p>\n
