This work was created as a gift for my partner. From interviewing and talking to him, I noticed that he is very shy but is willing to talk if you could start a conversation. My design can be separated into two parts: the left side and the right side. The left side is a wave-like shape made with metal wire. I made it this shape to imitate the sound wave and shutter shades glasses. I combined these two elements together because the sound wave represents the talking since he is not a talkative person, and the shutter shades glasses are a way to hide part of yourself behind a pair of glasses so that you might be able to do things you don\u2019t want to do without the glasses. I want to use these elements to show that it is fine for him to not be talkative or popular, but still, be able to have many interesting conversations with friends and classmates. The right side is made of plastic spoons and metal wire. Like the transparent spoons, which is easy to see through, he doesn\u2019t hide his emotions very much when you talk to him, and you would always get positive feedback from him. I melted them to create petal-like shapes, in order to make the right side looks like a sunflower. Sunflower is the best floral I could think of. It always faces towards the sun and the color of it is just so bright, which always bring happiness feeling to the people. I think this is what he makes me feel every time I talk to him: maybe not too shiny, but always positive and make the people surrounding him happy.<\/p>\n
