I decided that to express this idea of the mask being an &#8216;extended body&#8217; part I was going to have it hang from the ear. I sketched some ideas, which I then developed after having gotten feedback from my teacher and peers. I made prototypes using clay and really liked working with this material. Therefore, chose to use it for my final sculpture. Since I wanted this pieces to hang on the wall, I chose to use wire for the mask&#8217;s elastic, which I then painted with white acrylic paint.
