The idea behind my work is to show the deep relationship people here have with the sea. They don’t just live by it\u2014they live with it. It’s in their work, their beliefs, and their traditions. As I’ve gotten older, this bond has grown more clear and meaningful to me. The ocean is a place full of wonder, and I’m always amazed by the beauty and diversity of life under its surface. My interest in this connection was sparked further by an ancient poem about fishermen that really speaks to the life and the undulations of the sea.
