I chose The Jewish Bride by Rembrandt as my master painting. I zoomed in on the hands and chose that as my focus. I chose this because I wanted to challenge myself with painting hands, and I found the painting to be beautiful. This taught me how to paint with oils using many layers. It taught me how to slow down and look at the painting as a whole instead of painting section by section. As I was making the painting, I used a palette knife to create scratches on the dress.
