I chose the spine because it\u2019s essential to our body\u2019s support system. As someone who did competitive gymnastics, I\u2019ve seen how fragile the spine can be and how much we rely on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Spine\u201d is a hand crocheted sculpture made from thread over the span of 32+ hours. I chose this<br>delicate material to reflect both the vulnerability and strength of the spine. The thread also represents the collagen within it, which gives it flexibility and structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My intention was to bring attention to a part of the body that is always working for us but is often<br>overlooked.
