For this painting, I chose to depict my dorm room bathroom, using oil paint on paper. While the actual space is mostly white, I focused on exploring the subtle variations in color and value that make up the \u201cwhites\u201d in the scene. Much of the painting involved playing with warm and cool tones, shadows, and reflected light to show how white surfaces are rarely just white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
