As I walked through the streets of Greenwich Village, I took notice of the townhouses. New York is such a big city, the buildings are often towering over the sidewalks. However, these houses were pretty average sizes and felt the most familiar to me (as someone who is from the suburbs). I decided to create a clay house combined many elements I liked (including brick, many window, and an awning above the door. I had no idea what the back of New York townhouses typically look like, so I got to create my own.
