Renae describes herself as an Urban Theories Practitioner exploring the links between various forms of urban practice, research, theory, design and policy which shape cities as well as methodologies and collective approaches that strengthen social resilience to impacts, disturbances or disasters both from natural forces (hurricane, tornado, fire etc.) and those precipitated by human-social behavior (urban renewal, displacement, disinvestment), while being cognizant of the inextricable intersections at the human-nature interface.<\/p>\n

Renae has\u00a0recently co-authored an article with a few other US Forest Service Scientists on the practices of stewardship (greening) in cities and its potential implications toward increased social resilience. The article is available free\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
