The forum was moderated by Professor Laura Y. Liu of Global Studies at The New School. The speakers included Stephanie Dinkins, transdisciplinary artist, Betty Yu, the co-founder Chinatown Art Brigade and Lynn Lewis, Picture the Homeless Oral History Project.<\/p>\n<p>The public forum emerged out of the Civic Liberal Arts and Global Studies Course \u201cArt and Activism in the Global City\u201d co-taught in Fall of 2018 by Global Studies professor Laura Y. Liu and Betty Yu, co-founder of Chinatown Art Brigade, multimedia artist, activist and a New School Visiting Scholar. The forum explored a variety of art, culture and new media approaches to re-imagining housing equity and racial justice. The conversation highlighted the ways in which technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), new media platforms such as Augmented Reality, and oral history storytelling can help us unleash our imagination of what\u2019s possible.
