2018 William Stautberg
Within a culture that surrounds ‘making in the home’ and the idea of dressing for the occasion, vintage cut-and-sew patterns are important to me and my family’s heritage because of their collectable quality and their ability to teach people how to sew. I explored and sub versified these patterns and this idea, creating a system through my visual lenses for generating new ways of representing staples of the man’s closet in my own design world. A world and obsession with all in one jumpsuits, the Ivy League jock, and masculine confidence with a humorous nod.
