Unspoken Place

Fifi Yucheng Xie

Unspoken Place is an interactive installation that illustrates the journey of searching, discovering, losing and eventually regaining control over one’s identity. By closely examining how an individual navigating a society according to their own definitions and visions of their identity, while being pressured to conform to structural expectations and pre-conceived assumptions, this project tackles the notion of identity as a constantly evolving, multi-dimensional concept difficult to quantify

Hi I'm Fifi! I am an Experience Designer based in New York. I am currently working on my MFA at Parson School of Design studying Design and Technology. I received my bachelor’s degrees (2017) from University of Washington in Philosophy and Industrial Design.
I also love woodworking, documentaries, stand-up comedy, and accumulating weird facts I found on the internet.
