A Speck of Dust and Ripples

Due to urban acceleration and a cultural vacuum, the new generation in China is experiencing shared anxiety and confusion of the meaning of life. In my own experiences, building a relationship with nature is one way to find comfort. However, time and nature are expensive in big, crowded, and competitive cities. This project uses the traditional Chinese concept Shanshui(山水) to create a contemplative experience for young people to clear their minds and meditate.

The project contains 2 interactive images. The first one is Mountain. In this part, mountain will be formed by dust if you stay still in front of the camera, vice versa.

The second one is Water. In this image, ripples appear with the rhythm of breathing.
