Providing a considerable amount of food both affordably and quickly, college students have always been loyal patrons of fast food restaurants. More recently, fast food chains have found an opportunity on college campuses, setting up physical locations on-campus in partnership with the university. Fast Food U is a project that examines the connection between fast food and the college experience, the factors that contribute to it, and the outcomes of this relationship. By providing context to the issue and a toolkit for grassroots movements, this project aims to educate and inspire actions that better the food environment on university campuses by ensuring that healthier, fresher food options are available.
