Can we break away from prejudice and blind faith by understanding how they are formed? Can we become more aware of why we believe what we believe, by examining how the mind processes?
This project seeks to explore the questions through a series of digital graphics on the subject of knowledge and cognition. Knowledge orients from the information. Interpretation is the process of the information transforming into knowledge that happens in the mind. Information exchange happens between an individual and the community they belong to and can reflect the process of how one’s cognition is being shaped and evolving continuously.
In this project, I would like to further develop the above concepts and present them in the form of a metaphorical expression. I selected portraits and social media postings as vehicles to express the metaphor. The project consists of a web-based graphic generator and its production, the graphic. The graphics are created with portraits and social media posting through the automated graphic generator.
