Out of Control is a multi-player cooperative board game based on my personal experience with eating disorders. Players get to know the repeated and disoriented behaviors of people who suffer from eating disorders through game-playing. As each player is in charge of one attribute of the protagonist, they work together to make choices after consideration and discussion on the story cards as well as the options provided. The game aims to simulate struggling emotional states and reveal how people suffering from such mental illness perceive food and their daily lives. The purpose of the gameplay is to help people resonate with others who have similar experiences and to provoke thoughts and discussions on this topic to a broader audience.
