ARtifact : More Effective Design for Object Display

ARtifact

Currently, the way museum visitors browse through exhibits is by walking by displays and reading text on cards or plaques about the artifacts. It is difficult for the viewers to understand the artifact only through text, and information provided in this way is difficult to retain.

ARtifact enhances the museum experience through AR to convey deeper information about artifacts. In this project, the Korean traditional instrument, ‘Bak(박)’, was used to demonstrate how ARtifact works. Through ARtifact, users can view compelling information about the Bak and interact with it beyond the display cases.
