MEET is an alternative protein starter kit that includes easy-to-follow recipe cards and various protein options, designed to encourage individuals to take the first step in trying alternative proteins. This thesis explores approaches to encourage people to replace a portion of their meat consumption with alternative proteins and highlights the main insight gained from research – that people are generally open to trying alternative proteins, but they have not been presented with an easy way to incorporate them into their daily meal preparation.
With MEET, people who are new to plant proteins can choose a starter kit that fits their precise needs and walks them through every step of meal preparation. MEET onboards the users with an intuitive online starter kit box customization process with a diverse range of options. MEET also guides them to incorporate alternative proteins into their daily diets with pre-portioned ingredients and detailed recipes included in the starter kit box. Throughout the development process, prototypes were created, and workshops and user tests were conducted, resulting in a final product that demonstrates the MEET alternative protein starter kit service.
The ultimate goal of MEET is to make alternative proteins more accessible, encourage healthier eating habits, and contribute to a greener planet.
