Calik Denim
In Parsons’ ‘Fashion Materiality’ course, powered by CALIK DENIM in Fall 2019, students investigated denim through the lens of design and construction, as well as its rich history and influence in the fashion industry, and gave students the opportunity to learn about denim design and wash development.
Calik Denim supported the course in every aspect, from providing technical equipment and access to the Calik team, to supplying all the fabrics exclusively for the students to work with.
Besides tradeshow opportunities, students competed for Senior Thesis Material Sponsorship (First Prize: Sekoi Cooper) and internships at Calik in Turkey (Runners Up: Kadeem lamorell, Alice Kim, Jamie Williams and Hannah Suh). Thank you Calik for your support!
