A matchmaking tool that connects female founders and accelerators, improving access, changing perceptions and increasing inclusivity to enable female founder success.
By Dharini Karunakaran, Paola Machuca and Silvia Castro, MS Strategic Design and Management, Class of 2026
Women remain significantly underrepresented in accelerator cohorts, driven by a male-dominated system that discourages women from applying and lack of centralized information that reflects their specific needs. Founders can’t communicate their priorities and constraints, accelerators lack visibility into what women are actually looking for
Female founders navigating pre-seed accelerator applications who need tailored information reflecting women-specific constraints, plus accelerators seeking to unlock access to a high-potential demographic and increase cohort diversity
Founders create profiles, complete applications capturing both goals and constraints, receive top accelerator matches with full directory and match percentages, explore detailed program profiles with key highlights, express interest, and rate accelerators through pre- and post-experience system. Accelerators view landscape of female founders, update program information, access accountability dashboard, and contact founders directly through tailored questions addressing women-specific constraints and built-in rating system capturing cultural and inclusivity data
Early stage prototype with defined user journeys for both sides i.e. founder app experience (download, profile creation, matching) and accelerator partnership model (onboarding, dashboard access, direct contact capability)
An experimental training platform for venture capitalists that reveals unconscious bias in how they evaluate and invest in early-stage startup pitches and coaches them toward more equitable investment practices.
Al-assisted training of body language, tone & words to assist women entrepreneurs to reframe narratives, bridge perception gaps, and advance equitably through early funding stages.
A vetted community where female social entrepreneurs connect with investors who genuinely want to meet you.A vetted community where female social entrepreneurs connect with investors who genuinely want to meet you.
A systemic allyship model that operationalizes safe, accountable, and structured support from men for early-stage women founders.
