Congratulations to Theories of Urban Practice Alumni Nada Elokdah, Larissa Begault, Julia Borowicz, Rania Dalloul, Nora Elmarzouky, and Sara Minard with their start up, In•site, which will be among 11 other winning startups who will be incubated in one of ELab’s partner spaces: CSI Center for Social Innovation, Civic Hall, NYDesigns, and LMHQ, and receive the ELab’s offerings of a rich mentorship program, a series of business workshops, talks and panels, and a variety of networking opportunities and collaborations in those partner spaces.
In•site collaborative is a multidisciplinary design consultancy tackling issues around unequal urban development. Through research, design strategies and diverse partnerships, they maneuver between the policy realm and local stakeholders. These methods produce in•sights for more equitable negotiations that include a broader range of publics in decision making processes.
