The MS Design and Urban Ecologies Urban Colloquium II Spring 2006 Series, State of the Public Realm, coordinated by Miodrag Mitrašinović, convenes students, practitioners, and civic leaders to critically examine the shifting conditions of public space in contemporary cities. The series explores how political, social, ecological, and economic forces shape the production, governance, and experience of the public realm. Through lectures and discussions, it foregrounds questions of access, justice, participation, and collective life, positioning the public realm as a vital site for democratic practice and urban transformation.

This lecture series is open to students and faculty across the university.
