Campus-Wide Collaborative Care for Intimate Partner Violence

Project Description
Domestic violence affects every facet of university life for students in crisis and requires a skilled and attentive response - starting with proper acknowledgement, quick and effective life-saving intervention strategies, and acute safety planning which requires all hands on deck. This interactive discussion maps systems and practices for responding to intimate partner violence on university campuses. Blending research and storytelling, it demonstrates how students, staff, designers, and responders can collaborate to improve safety planning and intervention. The session outlines strategies for building responsive, compassionate campus-wide support systems and beyond the New School.
