CHARTr – Caring Through Data

Project Description
Our project examines how community-centered environmental data tools like the CHARTr platform make ocean-health information accessible to the coastal communities most affected by climate change. Through a case study of Cornwall, it shows how transparent, ethically governed, and easy-to-use data systems turn care into a daily practice that supports safety, livelihoods, and ecological stewardship. The work demonstrates that when technology is designed with communities, it transforms data into a form of care that strengthens resilience, justice, and environmental well-being.
